The Hippo Chalets are two separately priced self-catering chalets at Andreas Dam, about 3 km from the Dusternbrook main house. Hippo 1 is a timber build with a private terrace; Hippo 2 is natural stone with a roof terrace and a shaded side terrace. Bedrooms are approximately 3.5 by 6 metres excluding the bathroom, with queen or king-size mattresses; Hippo 2 has two separate mattresses on a shared frame. Each chalet has an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin, solar water heating, a fridge, a two-plate gas stove and a braai area.
