Gelbingen Lodge is in a mopane-savannah valley about 30 km from Kamanjab, reached via the C35 and D2763. It has eight twin rooms, a single guide room and a luxury self-catering unit with its own dining, sitting and bedroom areas. Facilities include a bar, restaurant, lapa, swimming pool and a children’s playground. A Himba community lives next to the lodge and guided cultural visits are offered. It suits travellers using Kamanjab as a staging point for western Etosha and the northwest.
