Grunau Chalets Camping is the separately bookable camping area at Grunau Chalets, next to the Shell filling station on the B1 at Grünau. There are four camping sites, each with its own private ablution facility comprising a shower and toilet, a power point, a braai area and a wash-up station. The camping area sits inside the electric-fenced property, which has a supervisor on duty 24 hours a day to receive guests. A 24-hour Shell filling station, a restaurant and a shop operate on the same premises, and card payments and an ATM are available on site. The location at the junction of the routes to Cape Town, Windhoek, Johannesburg and the Fish River Canyon makes it a common overnight stop for self-drive travellers. Pets are accepted, and reservations are taken through the operator’s own booking engine.
