Nambwa Campsite lies in Bwabwata National Park in the Kwando core area, about 45 minutes’ drive from the park entrance gate and signposted off the route to Nambwa Tented Lodge. There are four campsites. Each site has its own bathroom with a double basin and vanity, a shower and a toilet, with hot water supplied by a donkey boiler, plus a kitchen area with double wash basins and hot water. Each site has a lapa for shade and rain cover. Power is solar, with individual solar lighting, two USB charge points per site and a plug point for a car fridge. Camping is self-catering and guests bring their own equipment. Guests can book the operator’s game drives, bush walks, boat cruises, fishing, bush dining, picnics and sundowners. A 4×4 vehicle is required because of thick sand, and a park entry permit must be bought at the gate. The campsite is sold and priced separately from Nambwa Tented Lodge.
