Swakopmund Municipal Rest Camp is a municipal self-catering bungalow camp about 0.5 miles from the Swakopmund town centre. The camp comprises roughly 200 bungalows and units, including Fisherman’s units, Gecko and Welwitschia rest houses, four-bed flats, A-frame chalets sleeping six, VIP bungalows and luxury rest houses. All units have kitchens and outdoor braai areas, and some include televisions and lock-up garages. There is 24-hour security, an on-site restaurant that delivers breakfast, laundry and freezer facilities and a conference centre for 50 people. It is walking distance from the beach, shops and restaurants and suits self-catering families and budget travellers.
