Olifantsrus is the only camping-only facility inside Etosha, positioned in the west of the park between Okaukuejo and Dolomite. It has 10 campsites taking a maximum of eight people each, with five power stands shared between pairs of sites. Facilities include ablutions, a self-catering kitchen, braai stands, a reception, kiosk and a small museum in the former abattoir. A double-storey hide overlooks the waterhole and is open to campers after park gate-closing time. It suits self-drive and self-catering travellers as there is no restaurant on site.
