Desert Horse Campsite lies in a small valley in the Aus Mountains on the Klein-Aus Vista estate, 1.5 to 2 km from Desert Horse Inn, east of Aus off the B4. There are ten shaded campsites under camelthorn trees in an amphitheatre of rock, each taking a maximum of six people. Each site has a water tap, a table with benches, a braai grill and a wind shelter. There are no power points at the sites, and charging is available at Desert Horse Inn reception. Ablutions are shared, with hot-water showers and flush toilets. The Desert Horse Inn restaurant, subject to availability, along with its bar, swimming pool and 300 MB of free Wi-Fi, is 1.5 km away, and barbecue packs can be bought at reception. Children aged 0 to 5 stay free and children 6 to 13 pay 50 per cent.
