Shamvura Camp stands on an elevated sand dune above the Okavango River, 110 km east of Rundu on the Rundu to Divundu road in the Kavango East Region, looking across to the Angolan floodplains. The camp is small and owner-operated, with four safari tents, one treehouse cottage and eight campsites. There is a terrace and an open lounge area with river views. Accommodation is offered self-catering with meals available on request, and rates are quoted per person on a bed-and-breakfast basis across a low season running January to June and a high season running July to December, with camping quoted without meals. Activities are guided birdwatching excursions, participation in bird-ringing, boat cruises on the Okavango, fishing trips and visits to the Mahango section of Bwabwata National Park. The camp positions itself as a stopover on self-drive routes through north-eastern Namibia.
