East Gate Rest Camp stands 400 m from the Buitepos border post on the Namibia-Botswana frontier, on the Trans-Kalahari Highway. The camp has one luxury bungalow sleeping four adults and two children, four three- or four-bed bungalows, eight two-bed bungalows, thirteen cabins and nine camping sites. Bungalows have fitted kitchens, air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms. Camping areas have ablution facilities and electric lighting. There is a swimming pool. The operator runs a coffee shop and restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from a short a la carte menu. A service station supplying fuel and a shop are on the same site. Internet access is available and the operator notes good network coverage at the border.
