Kambaku Safari Lodge stands in the 8,000-hectare Kambaku Wildlife Reserve, slightly off the D1 between Otjiwarongo and Otavi at the foot of the Waterberg Plateau. The lodge has ten rooms in standard, family and luxury grades, plus permanently erected furnished safari tents. All units are en-suite with natural stone showers, and all rooms open directly onto the garden. Catering is full board and includes a breakfast buffet, light lunch, afternoon coffee and cake, and a three-course dinner; vegetarian meals are available. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lodge and there are deliberately no televisions or radios in the rooms. Facilities include a swimming pool, a bush spa, a yoga and meditation area and an illuminated waterhole in front of the lodge. Activities include twice-daily guided wildlife programmes, horseback safaris from age four with thirty horses, 60 km of hiking trails, mountain bikes, archery, clay pigeon shooting and a playground. Parking is free and children are welcome, with cots on request and a nanny service available.
