Teufelskrallen Lodge stands on the westernmost Kalahari dune ridge between Kalkrand and Mariental, about 190 km from Windhoek on the B1 and then the C21. The lodge has six tent houses with double beds, set about 3 km from the central reception area. Each tent house has a private en-suite shower and toilet reached by a wooden walkway, a refrigerator, tea and coffee facilities, mosquito nets, a fan and an individual viewing terrace. The restaurant and coffee garden are in a restored old farmhouse, which also has a lounge, a swimming pool with sun terrace and a viewing terrace. Free Wi-Fi is available and there is mobile phone coverage, and there is an airstrip on the property. Activities include guided and unguided hiking of 5 to 20 km, jogging routes, sundowner dune drives, mountain biking, devil’s-claw plantation visits and a multi-day Trans-Kalahari walk. The operator states good accessibility on asphalt road.
