Okambara Elephant Lodge stands on Farm Okambara, a 15,000-hectare game ranch in the Okambara mountains south of the B6 near Witvlei. The lodge offers family apartments for one to five people and double rooms in the main building, two rondavels with a double bed and a children’s loft, a mountain villa with two rooms sleeping four to five, chalets with twin beds, and a pool house sleeping five to seven that combines a family apartment with a double room. Rooms are en-suite. Cooling is by ceiling and standing fans under thatched roofs rather than air conditioning. Wi-Fi is available in the lounge areas but not in the rooms, and a laundry service is offered. There is a swimming pool, with a further pool at a mountain-top location. Activities are guided game drives, hiking trails, cheetah and caracal feeding, and waterhole game viewing.
