Suricate Tented Lodge stands on a red dune above the Auob pans in the Intu Afrika Kalahari Game Reserve, on district road D1268. Accommodation is in tented rooms with en-suite bathrooms and showers, air conditioning, a mini-bar, a room safe, a coffee and tea station and a hairdryer; the operator states there are no family rooms but extra beds can be added. There is a honeymoon suite with a private plunge pool. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a spa, a firepit and a waterhole, and Wi-Fi is available only in the main building, restaurant and bar. Stays are on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis with lunch as an optional add-on. Activities are sunrise and sunset game drives, quad biking with a minimum age of 16 for solo riders, San Bushmen walks free with two-night bookings, massages and seasonal dune dinners. Access is 250 km from Windhoek via the B1, Kalkrand and the C21 and D1268, or 70 km from Mariental via the B1 and C20.
