Campers should note that the valley can be markedly colder at night than the surrounding sand country, particularly between May and August, when overnight temperatures drop close to freezing. Pack accordingly.
The Kalahari Farmhouse grows much of its own produce using the artesian water, and the vegetable gardens and orchards are part of what makes camping here different from a municipal site.
