Eagle Tented Lodge sits west of the main southern approach to Etosha, on rocky ground with dolomite outcrops that give it a more interesting setting than the flat bush around many of its neighbours. The accommodation is under canvas but at the comfortable end of that spectrum rather than basic camping. It is a longer run to the Andersson gate than the lodges immediately south of it, so this is a choice about setting and comfort rather than about maximising park time.
