Kaoko Bush Lodge is a few kilometres out of Kamanjab on the northern side, far enough from the C40 to be quiet. Kamanjab itself is a junction town rather than a destination, and the value of staying here is positional: Etosha’s Galton Gate is roughly an hour east, Damaraland’s rock art sites are south, and the Kaokoland routes start north. The lodge suits self-drivers who want a proper bed and a meal between long gravel days rather than a safari experience in its own right.
