Safarihoek Lodge stands on a hill on the 60,000-hectare Etosha Heights Private Reserve, which shares about 65 km of boundary with Etosha National Park. It has 11 chalets on raised wooden platforms: eight luxury, two classic and one family unit. Chalets are en suite with air-conditioning, minibar and coffee station, and the eight luxury units also have outdoor showers. Shared facilities include a swimming pool, thatched dining and lounge areas, wine cellar, curio shop and a double-storey photographic hide over a waterhole. The reserve lies roughly 70 km west of the Andersson Gate, so most game viewing is done on the private reserve rather than in the park.
