Tarentaal Guest Farm lies on the Outjo side of the southern Etosha approach, on working farmland rather than a game reserve. That gives it a different character from the safari lodges nearer the gate: quieter, more personal, and generally better value. The trade-off is a longer morning drive to Andersson. It suits travellers who want a farm-stay atmosphere and are happy to treat Etosha as a day trip rather than being first in the queue at the gate.
