Auob Country Lodge lies about 6 km north of Gochas in the Auob River bed in the southern Kalahari, Hardap Region. The lodge has twenty-five rooms with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and private verandas, plus camping sites. There is a swimming pool, maintained gardens, communal areas, a bar with a lapa braai area, and a restaurant serving a buffet breakfast, a three-course a la carte lunch for pre-booked guests, and dinner. Activities include guided game drives for giraffe, oryx, springbok and birds, guided and self-guided hiking trails through the dunes, stargazing and a dinner-in-the-dunes experience, all within a private nature reserve. Lodge rooms are sold on a bed-and-breakfast basis with dinner optional, and camping is sold without meals. The lodge notes that campsite bookings are not processed through third-party portals and must be arranged with the property.
