Huab Lodge sits in the Huab River valley south-west of Kamanjab, deep enough into private land that getting there is part of the experience. It is one of the older owner-run lodges in this part of Damaraland and has built its reputation on conservation rather than volume — a large private area, reintroduced game, and hot springs feeding the spa. This is not a one-night stop between Etosha and the coast; the access road and the rhythm of the place both reward travellers who commit two or three nights.
