Little Sossus Lodge sits south-east of the Sesriem gate on the plain below the Zaris escarpment, and is the lodge counterpart to the campsite of the same name. The setting is wide and open, with mountain backdrops on two sides and very little else in view. It is close enough to Sesriem for a workable early start without being in the immediate cluster around the gate, which keeps it quieter in peak season. A good middle option for travellers who want a proper lodge but not a resort, and who are approaching or leaving via the C19 south.
