This is the camping side of the Namib Desert Lodge property between Solitaire and Sesriem, set against the fossilised dune cliffs that give the place its character. Sites are spaced and screened, each with its own ablution, which is a considerable step up from the communal arrangement most Namibian campsites offer. For self-drivers carrying a tent it is one of the better-value ways to sleep within reach of Sossusvlei, and it fills the gap between the expensive lodges and the very basic pitches.
