Ohorongo Safari Lodge lies between Kamanjab and Outjo, on the southern approach to Etosha rather than the western one. That position matters: it is comfortably reachable from Windhoek in a day and puts Andersson Gate within easy morning range, which suits travellers entering the park from the south instead of looping in from Damaraland. The surroundings are working Namibian bushveld — thorn scrub, low hills, resident plains game — and the lodge is used more as a well-placed staging point than as a destination in itself.
