Agama Lodge sits roughly midway along the C19 between Solitaire and the Sesriem gate, on open gravel plain with the Naukluft mountains to the east. It is one of the more established mid-range properties on this corridor and tends to have availability when the camps immediately outside the park are full. The position is a genuine compromise: far enough out that a sunrise start at the dunes means an early alarm, but well placed for travellers arriving from the north or continuing towards the escarpment. Suits self-drivers who want a straightforward, comfortable base rather than a destination lodge.
